Noir at the Bar
@John & Peter's
May 23rd 9p.m.
Dennis Tafoya,
Wallace Stroby and Special Guests
"Noir at the Bar" is a nationwide phenomena.
Great crime fiction writers read and answer questions at a good local
bar. Gritty noir and booze. The event began in Philadelphia under
the direction of Peter Rozovsky and spread from there. St. Louis and
Los Angeles picked up the tradition and now host the two largest Noir
at the Bar events in the country. Peter Rozovsky and Dennis Tafoya
decided that the East Coast needed representation again and called
Farley's to see if we'd be interested in resurrecting the original
Noir at the Bar format. We couldn't say no. John & Peter's
graciously gave us the space to hold the event and Peter and Dennis
set to work lining up readers. May 23rd will mark the re-launch of
the East Coast Noir at the Bar series, hosted by Farley's Bookshop,
John & Peter's and carefully guided by Noir at the bar founder
Peter Rozovsky. The night's two featured readers will be Wallace
Stroby and Dennis Tafoya. There are some special guest readers in
the works, but their names are a secret until the 23rd at 9pm. Come
down and join all of us for a great evening of crime fiction and
libations.

Farley's favorites Lee Harper and Peter Catalanotto will be back at the
store signing copies of their children's books on the 25th. Always an
event when these two show up, don't miss an afternoon of laughter,
superb children's literature and a handful of suprises. The last time
Lee was here he wore a turkey costume. Who knows what he'll be
sketching in kid's books that Saturday...
